As a leading language services company, Voxivera takes the protection of its customers’ personal information very seriously. Voxivera is proud of the strict privacy and security practices we have implemented. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we’ve made it available as a link at the bottom of every page on our website.
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Language Services Associates website. On some pages you can order services, make requests, and register to receive materials.
The Information We Collect
You are not required to submit any personal data to us, but we will require you to provide certain personal data in order for you to receive additional information about our services and events. We will ask for your permission for certain uses of your personal information, and you can agree to or decline those uses. If you opt-in for particular services or communications such as marketing communications, you will be able to unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions included in each communication. If you decide to unsubscribe from a service, we will try to remove your information promptly, and may require additional information before we can process your request. The type of personal data we collect depends on your relationship with Voxivera. Generally, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact details such as a name, email address, mailing address, phone number, role, employer details
- Employment data such as a name, email address, mailing address, phone number, qualifications, work experience, references, certifications, government identification numbers, and background check information
- Client/vendor data, such as business contact details, financial information for invoicing, and contractual correspondence
- Project-related data, such as personal data contained within documents submitted by clients for interpretation/ translation/ localization
- Website usage data such IP address, browser type, device ID, cookies, web beacons, wayfinding technology, and analytics data
- Special category data, such as information relating to health, race, religion, union membership, biometric data, or other sensitive categories, where required for service provision, subject to appropriate safeguards
- Identifiers such as unique device identifiers, commercial information such as transaction history or service preferences, geolocation data, and inferences drawn to create profiles reflecting service usage or preferences
- Personal data that you provide voluntarily, for example, if you attend a webinar, we may collect business contact information about you, such as your name, title, employer, work e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number
If you choose to share your information with Voxivera, or register or login to a Voxivera service using a third party service that authenticates your identity and/or connects your social media login information, we will collect any information or content needed for the information that you have permitted the social media provider to share with us, such as your name and email address. Other information we collect depends on the privacy settings you have set with your social media provider and is subject to that provider’s terms and conditions.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Voxivera has taken comprehensive measures to ensure that interpreters understand information security standards and maintain workspaces that comply with these standards.
In addition, Voxivera strictly limits access to information. Voxivera employs a security platform that monitors, captures, and analyzes all user and user group activity on Voxivera assets, including but not limited to: email sent and received, chat/IM, websites visited, applications/programs accessed, web searches, file transfers, and data printed or saved to removable devices.
How We Collect Personal Data
We collect personal data:
- Directly from you, such as by applying for a job, or in connection with business communications.
- Indirectly from third parties such as recruiters, references, background check vendors
- From clients, where personal data is provided in connection with service delivery
- Automatically via our website, using tools such as cookies, web beacons, or analytics tools
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when ordering a service only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.
We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
You can register with our website if you would like to receive our monthly digest as well as updates on our new products and services. Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
